Free Agents starting off on the right foot, now undefeated

Coming off a tough week one, the Bru Dogs looked to rebound against the new and improved MFA 3.0. Lead by JR Porter 26 points and Moses Davenport 21 points, the Bru Dogs fell to 0 -2 on the season.

O’Harrow and Davenport missed week one for MFA 3.0 but managed to make an immediate impact in week two. Trailing early and often where he managed to shoot more free throws than the entire Bru Dogs roster. Davenport finished 13 – 22 at the strike and clutch free throws at the end to seal the victory.

Leading the way for the winless Bru Dogs was Will Vudmaska with 21 points and 5 rebounds. Justin Waters also chipped in with 18 points.

Playing in only their first game without ‘big man’ Andrew Schmoller proved to be a disadvantage, where MFA 3.0 managed to get to the rim time and time again. Schmoller who averages 3 blocks a game was a huge factor in allowing Porter, O’Harrow and Davenport to attack the rim at every opportunity.

The Bru Dogs are playing without last season’s starting point guard in Tony Ngo; so look for these guys to rebound and challenge the elites. Marc Doche sharp shooting and Will Vudmuska high IQ will ultimately get this team over the hump come post season play.

MFA 3.0 has played well this early in the season as they sit atop the standings and look to do what no free agent team has done, start the season 3 – 0 in LA Hoopz. Key veterans Novak and O’Harrow will be just what the doctor ordered when the playoffs roll around.

LEAGUE NOTES: All players be sure to arrive early prior to the tip-off to prevent delay. A technical foul will be assessed to the tardy team and play will commence shortly after.
