Bru Dogs steam roll over Hoop Dreams

Marc Doche and company wanted to win and win big in Sunday’s second scheduled game. Playing with only five players against the much smaller Hoop Dreams, the Bru Dogs won big 80 – 56.

Team captain, Marc Doche finished the evening with key buckets down the stretch to close out Hoop Dreams scoring 18 points and grabbing five boards. Also picking up the slack for the absent Andrew Schmoller was Eric Rohwer, who finished with 11 points and 13 rebounds.

Playing big and playing to their tempo the Bru Dogs managed to stretch the court by hitting the open man. The defensive effort of Reggie Williams and Alexi Waul was no match.

Reggie Williams closed out the game with only 13 points and four rebounds. New comer André Johnson helped keep the flow of offense going by adding 19 points and 10 rebounds in a losing effort.

Lacking in bench production and size Hoop Dreams never recovered from what the Bru Dogs showed throughout the contest. Will Vudmaska played well in the post and knocked down a pair of three point buckets to finish with 23 points and four rebounds.

The Bru Dogs now leave the bottom of the cellar and Hoop Dreams is the only winless team in the competitive division.
