Suspects overpower Unknowns in route

Spot on with the Power Rankings for week four! Monday’s weekend finale saw the Usual Suspects overpower the Unknowns in a route to a 70 -56 victory, to stay undefeated in the winter season.

Playing in only his second game of the season San Street played to make his presence felt. Early and often Street was feed in the post and caused numerous match-up problems. Street height and strength proved to much as he finished with 11 points and seven rebounds. Also chipping in was speedy guard Alexander Cuba with a barrage of running floaters finishing with 12 points, 2 assists and 2 rebounds, along with Berry Canty stellar defense and 6 points and four rebounds.

Team captain Adam Baker finished with 14 points, 2 rebounds and 0 assists. Playing with only five players was quite the obstacle from the start as Baker was forced to play point guard. Committing turnovers on back-to-back possessions was just enough to call on the full court press by the Suspects.

Unknowns looking for answers with the Statistician, in Monday action

As the Usual Suspects continued to full court press and trap Baker, the Unknowns had no answers. Kevin Hornesby was the only answered offensively finishing with a game high 25 points and 6 rebounds in the loss. William McFadden also added 8 points and 5 rebounds in forty minutes of play.

Power Rankings showed once again that consistency on both ends of the floor are needed to compete with the elites. Playoffs begin 3/21/10 where the top teams are eligible for a first round bye.
