Hoop Dreams still winless, Ve-nice wins 93 – 71

Still winless but the effort was there for Hoop Dreams, as they fall 93 – 71 to Ve-nice.  Leading all scorers was new comer Drey Thomas with 30 points and five rebounds [pictured below].

From the opening tip Hoop Dreams were relentless against the starting five of Ve-nice.  Playing with an early lead caused Ve-nice to call a timeout. David Rogue, team captain, rallied the troops to withstand the opening game barrage from Joseph Tucker [7 first half points] and Steven Rich 13 first half points for Hoop Dreams.

Never looking back and taking a halftime lead 47 – 38 was just what they needed to keep Hoop Dreams at bay.

Kyle Guillory helped complete the close finishing with by adding 29 points and 12 rebounds.

The bright spot for Hoop Dreams was the dominate play inside of 6′7 center Jesse Stockwell 12 points and 12 rebounds.

FYI: Let’s help the women division and spread the word as we reach out the greater LA area. Season tip-off is mid-March. As P.Diddy says, ‘lets go!’
