Inaugural season vets return to hand Benchmarks first season lossWednesday, June 23rd, 2010 by Dr Hoopz
The Sharks – 47 Benchmarks – 45 Inaugural season vets return to hand Benchmarks first season loss Ushering in the Benchmarks was Kevin Rosenberg six early points to led all scorers into the first timeout of the game. Rosenberg was hot early working both ends of the floor. The Sharks energy failed to carry over when Chris Luevano shot consecutive airballs but helped on the defensive end to keep the contest close. Leading at halftime was the Benchmarks by two points with a 27 – 25 edge over the Sharks. From the opening tip, the size of the Benchmarks was clear but that was made up by the shear strength of the Sharks gobbling in six total halftime steals. Moses Davenport #4 attempts free throw in the Sunday’s win Zachary Dworkis scored 18 points and grabbed 11 boards in loss. Chris Luevano vocal leadership proved to be the determining factor as he had multiple put-backs in the Sharks debut in the competitive division. Kevin Rosenberg was second in scoring on the Benchmarks with 12 total points and 2 of 2 from the foul line. Each possession needed precise passing and superb rebounding where the Benchmarks had a plus two advantage in the game, 23 – 21. Support for the Sharks is seen from opponents in hopes of taking the elites down. Luevano rolling with Zimmerman is promising. Josh Novak is on the West Side Stories. Actor in the making, GO NOVAK! LEAGUE NOTES: All players be sure to arrive early prior to the tip-off to prevent delay. A technical foul will be assessed to the tardy team and play will commence shortly after. Playerz and Fanz be sure to keep the facility clean for our next event. For questions or concerns see your nearest Hoopz Staff member.
