The HOV pick apart Warriors in one point victory

The Warriors came in the contest as the heavy favorites but failed to hold on late as they succumb to late game heroics by the House of Vibe.  Final score 64 – 63 as House of Vibe used stellar defense and late game free throws to seal the deal.

New comer and vocal leader Syrus Yarbrough held it down for the HOV to finish with a team high 18 points including four treys behind the arc.

Yarbrough is known to have a knack for competition.

The HOV huddle during a second half timeout against the Warriors

Both teams know each other fairly well and the late game tactics were evident as HOV used it precisely in the final moments.

Jordan Rush was triple and double teamed in the post by HOV defenders. The different looks took Obai Ahmadi out of the normal comfort zone. Ahmadi finished with one assist and a couple of treys from beyond the arc.

Last season a smothering type of defense knocked the Warriors out of the playoffs and proved to be the deciding factor again.

General Manager, Deante Horton, finished in a frustrating matter similar to True Hollywood Stories. The loss could not be explained. Missed opportunities in transition and wide open shots fail to reach the net, as the Warrriors only managed 2 – 9 from the foul line in the second half.

Yarbrough and Mark Whales went to work on both ends to hold Rush in check towards the winding moments of the contest.

Jason Rose added all nine points in the second half in the dismantling of the Warriors.

LEAGUE NOTES: All players be sure to arrive early prior to the tip-off to prevent delay. A technical foul will be assessed to the tardy team and play will commence shortly after. Playerz and Fanz be sure to keep the facility clean for our next event. For questions or concerns see your nearest Hoopz Staff member.
