DE-TROIT! trounces Warriors in victory

Prior to tip-off the Warriors began strategizing to battle against team DE-TROIT! By the end of the battle it was back to the drawing board after losing 102 – 69 in week two of the eight game season.

Early and often Chris Smith knocked down a three from the corner, from the top of the key, and from the wing. Eventually Smith finished with eight made trifecta’s in the victory.

First question of the game; where was the defense from the Warriors?

General Manager, Deante Horton, echoed the same question after the game saying, “we cannot afford to leave guys open in transition, especially when they are shooters.â€

Shooters Smith, Gibbs and Johnson combined for 62 of the 102 total output in the victory.

Attempting to bring the Warriors back from instinction was the crafty Dabo Kabov.

Shooting and rebounding are Kabov strengths but this night, Kabov was stuck on shooting long range jumpers.

Kabov made a team high, five trifecta’s in the loss.

Gary Harrington and Smith hooked-up on multiple occasions to elude the lackluster Warriors defense in transition.

Drey Thomas found the cup finishing with 23 points and four rebounds in the win.

The only defensive stop the Warriors managed in first half, Johnson found a streaking ‘Coach’ for a quick deuce to keep the lead at twenty plus late.

Deante Horton added 15 points and vocal leadership in the second loss of the eight game season.

High flyer, Jordan Rush, had a subpar game with 10 points and zero rebounds.

Not a characteristic game by the Warriors but a solid game by DE-TROIT! to say the least.

The last but not least important question of the game: “what did Chris Smith have for breakfast?”
