The Sharks dance their way to victory over the Benchmarks

Fresh off their first week victory the Sharks wanted to capitalize on their interior size. The Benchmarks countered with the strong inside play of Zachary Dworkis.

Christian Zimmerman scored on consecutive drives to the cup to cut the Benchmarks lead to three points, 14 – 11, in the first half.

The rugged and scrappy play by both teams kept the game close with no team leading more than five points in the half.

Chris Luevano and Zimmerman led the Sharks heading into the second half.

Zachary Dworkis held it down for the Benchmarks with seven points at halftime.

Winning the first match the Sharks used speed and power to overturn the Benchmarks strategy.

The Sharks start the season with two wins, 2-0 record

First half rebounding by the Sharks was key in cutting the deficit to five down 14 – 19.

Luevano picked up an early second half fourth foul and found the way to the bench.

Ultra substitute, Bryon Bloomquist led the comeback charge with eight rebounds and sound defense on the big six foot, six inches  Zachary Dworkis.

Unaiz Kabani and Luevano hit back-to-back trifecta’s to tie the game at twenty-eight apiece with 7:24 minutes left in the second half.

Bloomquist received a nice alley hoop pass from Luis Rivera for the easy but entertaining two point bucket.

Leading by one point, Luis Rivera hit a huge three to push the lead to four with one minute remaining in the ball game.
