DE-TROIT! hold off GITYL late to win and continue to lead division

Give It To You Later – 55

DE-TROIT! – 74

FINAL

The return of GITYL has been tough as of late, losing by double digits in their first two games of the season.

DE-TROIT! jumped out early and held on to win 74 – 55 in week three of the competitive division.

DE-TROIT! has victories over two elite squads and showed the rest of the league way they are the one of top teams.

Early on it was the barrage of three and easy transition buckets that put DE-TROIT! in the position to hold off GITYL.

Dan Miller steller performance paced the ‘09 summer champs in the paint and finding the open man.

Miller went to the hole with one mission, find the open man, either on the block or on the arc. Finishing with a couple assists, the wings for GITYL must continue to consisently knock down open jumpers.

Chris Smith ability to get to the rack was spectatular finishing with a game high 28 points, three rebounds and a steal.

Also adding to the DE-TROIT! offense was the post play combination of Kieffer and Thomas.

Drey Thomas finished with the stat line of the night: 15 points, 8 rebounds, 3 steals.

Dan Zinchuk began to find the groove hitting slashing jumpers over the DE-TROIT! big men. Zinchuk led GITYL with 15 points and 8 rebounds in their second defeat of the season.

GITYL undestands the formula for winning so count on them in the running late in the eight game season.

The jawing has begun between the elite squads. The Y is a long away from where we wanna be as the 2010 summer season is offically in full swing.

Player of the Game

Drey Thomas – 15 points, 8 rebounds, 3 steals, 1 assist

LEAGUE NOTES: All players be sure to arrive early prior to the tip-off to prevent delay. A technical foul will be assessed to the tardy team and play will commence shortly after. Tell ‘em Josh!!!

Isn’t the GM for Detroit also the league commissioner??? Isn’t it tampering if you steal players??

Mr. Kieffer committed to Bring It On, only to be stolen away by empty promises from the fake Rat Piley!!!

The Integrity of the whole league is now in question … LOL
