Spaniard Armada win in style, defeat the Sharks

FINAL

The Armada were all business prior to tip-off and it showed throughout the game. The output from the previous contest was not indicative of this one folks. The Armada went to work using their speed and size to defeat the Sharks in style 70 -44.

Leading the way for the Armada were Seth Mumy and Jesse Tyler with 19 points apiece.

Tyler was on fire from the start knocking down jump shots from mid-range. Finding the stroke was vital as the Armada continued to pull away heading into the second half.

Battling offensively for the Sharks was point guard, Luis Rivera, leading the team with 14 total points. As the only player for the Sharks in double digits, Rivera was forced into double and triple teams throughout the half.

Jesse Tyler #16, lead the Armada to victory in Sunday’s action

Playing as the only skilled big man, Tyler went to work in the pinch post finding the net and the open man on numerous occasions.

The Sharks team captain, Chris Luevano, finished the evening with five fouls and seven points in the losing effort.

Armada are now 1 -1, nearly doubling their opening contest against the MFA 4.0 before the break.

Suffering the first loss of the season Luevano feels optimistic about their changes to make the playoffs with five games remaining.
