Anthony Jenkins and William Bailey came to play early in the half draining consecutive jumpers beyond the arc.

Moses Davenport was equally as entertaining making dribble drive on a regular and passing on the open teammate.

Junior Benitez began the day chanting, “we want DE-TROIT!, we want DE-TROIT!,� something that has become familiar among the top of the competitive division.

DE-TROIT! Sunday contest played at 7pm versus the MFA 5.0 but challengers where highly vocal prior to their scheduled tip-off against Hoop Dreams.

Davenport kept the score close with the 17 – 23 advantage; and knocked down the 1-and-1 to cut the advantage to four points with three minutes remaining.

Heading into the second half both squads played to the tunes of the Black Eyed Peas.

Scored tied 50 apiece following a timeout by V-Boltz, Joseph Tucker hit a huge three to take the lead for the first time.

Tucker was reluctant to shoot throughout the contest holding to pass to the open teammate.

Ian Joyce grabbed consecutive rebounds on the defensive end.

Stalling with the basketball and attacking as time expired down the stretch, Khiem Banh went to the line after superb defense by V-Boltz.

Bobby Benitez picked-up the fourth foul with 1:31 remaining in the game.

Leading 57 – 53, Hoop Dreams went to the line attempting to close the door on V-Boltz.
